INTERIOR ARCHITECTURE

THE PROCESS

When a house requires a major overhaul Wilder Joy Studio considers the functionality of each room, and also looks at the house as a whole - how the spaces flow and whether they might be reconfigured to work better for the client’s lifestyle. We also make design decisions regarding the building’s fabric, from staircases and internal doors, to cornices and built-in joinery so that every detail of the interior looks absolutely right.

STAGE 1 - A meeting is held to explore the scope of the work and the wishes of the client

STAGE 2 - The overall design aesthetic, functionality and flow of the property is established vis floor plans and concept image boards

STAGE 3 - All aspects of the kitchen and bathrooms are designed and the fixed elements of the property are specified including the lighting schemes, wall and floor finishes, bespoke joinery, fireplaces and internal ironmongery

STAGE 4 - A full decorative scheme is proposed covering paint, wallpaper, soft furnishings and fabric as well as decorative lighting, window treatments and furniture

STAGE 5 - A comprehensive budget document is produced detailing everything to be procured on behalf of the client. This enables us to monitor lead times and order status while ensuring the costs are in line with client expectations

STAGE 6 - We are on site to oversee a smooth and efficient installation and final dressing
